What makes it “medical”?
A traditional spa or relaxation massage is general and full-body — wonderful for stress, but not designed to resolve an injury. Medical massage therapy is different. Every session starts with a clinical assessment: we identify the specific muscles, tendons, or fascia driving your pain, then work that exact tissue with focused techniques like trigger point release, cross-fiber friction, myofascial work, and deep tissue therapy.
How it helps you heal
Targeted soft-tissue treatment:
- Breaks up scar tissue and adhesions that restrict normal movement
- Releases trigger points that refer pain into other regions of the body
- Improves circulation to injured tissue so oxygen and nutrients can reach it
- Reduces inflammation and muscle guarding around injured joints
- Restores normal muscle length so joints can move through their full range again
Paired with chiropractic adjustments, medical massage makes each adjustment hold longer — the joint stays aligned when the muscles pulling on it are no longer locked down. It’s especially effective after injuries, chronic flare-ups, and for pain that hasn’t responded to stretching or general massage alone.
